Dr. Andrew Gikas

Andrew Gikas is a dental surgeon with 30+ years’ experience and a leader in Dental Sleep Medicine. He is Clinic Director at the Melbourne Dental Clinic, a Director on the ADA Federal Board, and Visiting Medical Officer at The Alfred Hospital, where he runs the oral appliance clinic for sleep apnoea.

A former ADA Vic Branch President and Australasian Sleep Association Board member, Andrew also holds honorary roles at the University of Melbourne, the Royal Melbourne Hospital, and the Institute for Breathing and Sleep. He is a Fellow of international dental academies and recipient of the ASA President’s Award for contributions to Dental Sleep Medicine.

Passionate about advancing the profession, Andrew focuses on education, advocacy, governance, and improving both oral health and sleep health.
